VFF WINNER – Programmers’ Choice Feature Documentary

Following an overwhelmingly positive screening last week at The Virginia Film Festival, The Harvest is awarded VFF’s Programmer’s Choice for Best Documentary Feature.

BRINGING THE HARVEST HOME TO BLACK BEAR FILM FEST

THE HARVEST is an Official Selection of the 13th Black Bear Film Festival held in Milford, Pa, just across the border from Director Gabriel DeLoach’s hometown of Wantage, NJ. Please join us for an intimate screening on Sunday, Oct. 14th, 2012, at the St. Patrick’s Social Venue. DeLoach will be present to take your questions and comments after the film.

OFFICIAL SELECTION: 25th VIRGINIA FILM FESTIVAL

Last night the Virginia Film Festival released its schedule for its 25th year. We are extremely happy to be included in its lineup and to be representing local VA filmmakers. THE HARVEST screens at 3:45 on Friday, November 2 at the Regal Cinema on the Downtown Mall. Please join director Gabriel DeLoach for a Q&A after.

OFFICIAL SELECTION: HOT SPRINGS DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL

Folks near Little rock and Memphis should come out to watch THE HARVEST this fall at the 21st Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. The festival runs from October 12 to 21st. Screening date/time TBA. Filmmakers in attendance.

CIFF Announces 2011 Lineup

We are thrilled to announce that THE HARVEST has been accepted to premiere at the Camden International Film Festival (Maine, not NJ) September 29 – October 2. Vist CIFF’s website.

THE HARVEST will be screening alongside 22 other amazing films such as HELL AND BACK AGAIN by acclaimed war photographer and documentarian Danfung Dennis, and CRAZY HORSE, by the iconic Frederick Wiseman.

Screening time and date will be announced soon.

THE HARVEST Soundtrack

Brian Lawlor (composer/musician) is putting the finishing touches on THE HARVEST soundtrack while Abel Okugawa is mastering the dialogue over at Monkeyclaus Studio here in Virginia. The film will also feature music by Thrill Jockey artists Double DaggerMountains, and Trans Am guitarist, Phil Manley.
